Use Return Items to:
Check in items that are checked out
Use Scan in Items to:
Scan items you have pulled from your Pick from Shelf list (Requests). Make sure Automatically print slip is set to Yes and Register in-house use is unchecked. See image below:
Scan IDLs received from other campuses or LTS. Make sure Automatically print slip is set to Yes and Register in-house use is unchecked. See image above.
Scan items for which you need to reprint a hold or transit slip. Make sure Register in-house use is unchecked. See image above. Note: this will NOT automatically print the in-transit or hold slip, even if you have checked Yes for Automatically print slip. You will need to go to the ellipsis on the right side of the listed item and select Print Slip. See image below:
Scan items to register in-house use. Make sure the Register in-house use box is checked. It will make no difference whether the Automatically print slip is set to Yes or No.
The following are recommendations:
Always keep the Automatically print slip set to Yes. You can always cancel if you do not want to print the print job that appears on your screen. Those Scans that would not normally produce a print slip (e.g., Register in-house use) will not be affected.
Always keep Register in-house use set to No unless you are scanning for in-house use. If you keep it set to Yes, you will incorrectly register all scans (e.g., Pick from Shelf Items, IDLs, etc.) as an in-house use.
