Creating a Custom Scope (useful, for example, if you want to scope to ONLY physical items in your library)
I. Create a Custom Scope
Discovery > Search Configuration > Search Profiles >Custom Local Data Scopes Tab > Select "Add a custom scope"
Enter the following:
Code: (e.g., Your Campus Acronym-Physical)
Name: (e.g., Your College Name Physical Only)
Description: (e.g., Your College Name Physical Only)
Under "Add a Condition":
Select Add Scope:
-"Metadata: Additional title" > Inventory > Physical Availability-Campus
-Operator > Equals
-Value > Your Campus Name
Add Condition
Save
II. Create a Search Profile with your Custom Scope
Enter the following elements for your Custom Scope:
Code:
Display Name:
Description:
Under "List of Scopes included in Search Profile":
Select Add Scope:
-My Campuses (Select Custom (Local Data))
-Select Custom Scope (Select the name of your Scope)
Add and Close
Save
This will create a Search Profile which can be applied via a Search Profile slot in a specific Primo View.
II. Apply Search Profile Slot
Discovery > Display Configuration > Configure Views > Select the Desired Campus View > Edit > Search Profile Slots Tab > Add a Slot > Toggle the Scope created above to "active"
Enter the following:
Code:
Display Name:
Description:
Tooltip:
Save
This will create a Search Profile which can be applied via a Search Profile slot in a specific Primo View.
